“The Advocate”
(Similar to “A Child Called It”)
The Advocate is an autobiography about MellTheRealist life. She explains how her life experiences were while she was growing up in the Humboldt Park community with a Schizophrenic mother. She decided to share her story for a few reasons:
To speak up on how schizophrenic people get treated, including how they feel.
To bring encouragement to women in the world that it is ok to speak up if your getting physically, emotionally or sexually abused.
To bring awareness on how a child can get molested in a household.
To help a child open up if they don’t know how to speak up, especially if they are getting abused or molested.
To bring hope, by sharing how God moved in our circumstances.
To bring encouragement to the single mothers out there currently struggling. God sees all of you and, just like he got me and my fam. He got you all too.
